About Me
I am an astrophysics PhD candidate at Monash University. I am interested in the origin of the elements and my research focuses on the heavy elements produced by stars that are about 1-8 times as massive as our sun (also known as low/intermediate-mass stars).
My research explores how the presence of a stellar companion can change the heavy metal output from a low-mass star. I use binary population synthesis code to simulate hundreds of thousands of low/intermediate-mass binary pairs and investigate how they evolve and forge heavy elements.
Outside of academia I work as an educator introducing kids and young adults to the world of science, 3D-printing, coding, and robotics.
